2021 Book Fair
Just in time for Summer Reading, the Ho-Ho-Kus HSA is sponsoring the annual Book Fair! The Fair will take place on Monday, May 24th, Tuesday May 25th and Wednesday, May 26th. This year the Fair will be held outdoors on the Lloyd Field black top. Rain dates, if necessary, will be May 27th & May 28th.
Students in PreK-5th will shop during the school day with their class. Please see the attached schedule to find the shopping time for your child’s class. Parents are invited to join their child to shop at this assigned time. In addition, the Fair will be open at dismissal from 12:45-1:30pm for extra shopping time. Students in Grades 6th-8th will have the opportunity to visit the Fair at dismissal.
A few important notes….
Payment options: Cash, Credit Cards, Check (made payable to the Ho-Ho-Kus HSA), or E-Wallet (Set up electronically through Scholastic. NOTE: any unused balance in the E-Wallet will not be refunded. See the Scholastic website for details on how to use any leftover funds on their website).
Assigned Summer Reading books (for incoming 5th-8th graders) – Summer Reading books will be available for purchase at the book fair at a separate table. These books are being sold by the local bookshop The Curious Reader, so payment will be a separate transaction by cash or check only. Stay tuned for an email with more details about these books!
Teacher "Wish Lists" - In order to expand the teachers’ classroom libraries, each teacher will be asked to submit a “wish list” of book titles available at the Book Fair that they would like to have for classroom use. If you are interested in donating one or more of these titles, the book(s) will be labeled with a special bookplate recognizing your child or family as the benefactor. We hope that you will be able to support this worthwhile endeavor.
We look forward to seeing you at the Fair! If you have any questions, please contact Audrey Galletti [email protected], Sabrina Chacon [email protected], or Sheri Ash [email protected].
